Our lives changed forever

From the moment we received the phone call that changed our lives forever, we regret ever letting Cherese take this trip. I know that Cherese herself, would never have gone if she thought this would end her life. She had so much she wanted to accomplish in her life. And because of her hopes and dreams to help children, that is why we created "The Cherese Mari Laulhere Foundation".

  Cherese took a lot of pictures on her trip, and thankfully, she is in many of them, but the pictures can't talk to us, and I know there is much to be said about each one of them. She also bought many beautiful souvenirs and we don't know the story behind most of them. We have her pictures and souvenirs displayed throughout our home and look at them every single day and remember our beautiful Cherese… missing her terribly.

  When I look at Cherese's pictures of her growing up and those home videos we viewed together, I cherish every single memory, as I try to recall as much detail as possible, even down to her small, delicate hands, with her long slender fingers. We often held hands and I would comment on how sweet her little hands were.

  She was brilliant. She was talented. She was beautiful. She was sincere, honest and grateful. She was love. She was everything and more. She was full of life and spirit. She was funny. And she was happy.
